Unique Ballet Models -2021

Mikaela Cameron is a 10 year old aspiring ballerina that lives in a small town in the State of Kansas.  She attends the pre-professional day program at Kansas City Ballet School and trains approximately 20+ hours with daily classes in ballet and pointe with the amazing Ms. Grace Holmes and Ms. Pamela Carney; as well as supplemental classes in contemporary, modern, variations, character, and conditioning.  Additionally, she takes weekly virtual privates with Ms. Inna Yureneva and classes with Ms. Sladana Hudson to work specifically on Vaganova classical ballet technique.  And for fun, she enjoys tumbling and lyrical classes at Bates Dance Studios.

Kiera Wong, Unique Ballet 2021 Model - Vancouver, Canada 

Hello from Vancouver, Canada! My name is Kiera and I am a 16 year old aspiring ballerina. I discovered my love for ballet at age 3 doing preschool lessons at my local recreation center. This year, I transferred to a new studio to further my ballet training. I now dance multiple times a week at Studio Pointe’s Boutique Studio in their level 4 program where I take classes in pointe, conditioning, stretch, repertoire and variations. After trying many different styles of dance, my heart has always guided me towards ballet. I love the elegance and discipline associated with the style and feel that many aspects learned also apply to life such as working hard, perseverance, dedication and determination. My absolute favourite part of ballet is getting to perform. Whether it’s for a competition, exam or performance, I love getting up in front of an audience and having the opportunity to share my gift and passion with them. Unique Ballet provides me with all my performance necessities and have been my go to costume designers for the past few years. I’ve always admired their delicate and stunning designs and their passion for what they do. It is such an honour to model for them for 2021.

Drew has been dancing since the age of 2. She has performed in the Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker as a Party Girl, Snowflake, and Spanish doll. She currently trains at Plainfield Dance Academy in Illinois and was previously accepted and participated in Joffrey Chicago’s junior summer intensive program. Drew will be competing in YAGP in February with a variation from Le Corsaire. This is her 2nd year competing at YAGP and 5th year in competitive dance. Additional notable performances include Don Quixote, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty. Drew is also active in theatre and plays the guitar and cello.

Carmen Waterson, Unique Ballet 2021 Model - Texas, USA

Ten year old Carmen is South African born, and now resides in the panhandle of Texas. She started ballet classes at three, and discovered a love for the stage. She soon added acro, tap, jazz, tumbling and cheerleading to her weekly routine, competing in cheer, gymnastics and dance until an unfortunate injury in 2019 forced her to slow down and focus on her first love - dancing. She is currently dancing with LANDANCE for ballet as a level 3 and competing with the EDGE for contemporary, acro and lyrical about 15 hours a week. She is homeschooled and has taken classes with the Oklahoma City ballet as well as Lonestar ballet, she hopes to compete at YAGP and is looking forward to participating in her first ballet production with LAN.
